- Education related to substance use disorders and chronic pain management for continuing education credit
- Technical Assistance: individualized capacity building to practices implementing or expanding office-based substance use services
- ECHO Clinics: collaborative medical education through didactic presentations and case-based learning
- MACS for MOMs: support for maternal health providers in addressing the needs of their pregnant and postpartum patients with substance use disorders
Striving Toward Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
Maryland Addiction Consultation Service (MACS) and its affiliates, including Maryland Addiction Consultation Service for Maternal Opioid Misuse (MACS for MOMs), acknowledge the profound impact of systemic racism and bias on healthcare access, education, quality and outcomes for marginalized communities, particularly BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) patients and providers. MACS and MACS for MOMs commit to combating these disparities and promoting equity in addiction care through culturally responsive services, workforce diversity and community-centered initiatives. We strive to create a more just and compassionate healthcare system for all individuals affected by addiction and caring for those seeking treatment.
