MACS for MOMs supports maternal health providers in addressing the needs of their pregnant and postpartum patients with substance use disorders (SUDs), particularly opioid use disorder (OUD). MACS for MOMs, an expansion of the Maryland Addiction Consultation Service (MACS), is a statewide program that is free to all providers.
MACS for MOMs provides support for all maternal health providers, including OB/GYNs, physicians, NPs, certified nurse midwives and physician assistants, health care teams and pharmacists.
Funding for MACS for MOMs is provided by Maryland Department of Health, Maternal and Child Health Bureau and administered by the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
